Functional Solutions Executive - Banner ERP

Qualification: Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

 

Job Description:

 

  • Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to understand their requirements and translate them into effective solutions within the Banner system.
  • Configure and customize Banner ERP modules to align with the university's unique business processes and requirements.
  • Conduct system testing and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability of the Banner ERP.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to define integration requirements and ensure seamless data flow between Banner and other university systems.
  • Provide end-user training and support, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues related to the Banner ERP system.
  • Monitor system performance, analyze data, and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and optimize system functionality.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest enhancements and updates in Banner ERP functionality and proactively propose system enhancements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including functional specifications, user manuals, and training materials.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

 

  General Conditions:

  • Proven experience as Banner Functional Expert, working with Banner ERP, Argos in a higher education environment.
  • Strong understanding of higher education business processes, including admissions, student records, academic advising, and financial management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Banner ERP modules and functionality, including configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Proficiency in SQL and ability to write complex queries for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify system issues, perform root cause analysis, and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with system testing, quality assurance, and documentation.
  • Banner certifications or relevant training courses are a plus.
