Al Ain University Hosts Lecture “A Meeting with Astronomer Nizar Salam: From Amateur to Space Researcher and Discoverer of Zayed Stars”

As part of its efforts to promote innovation and exploration among its students, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Al Ain University organized a distinguished lecture titled “A Meeting with Astronomer Nizar Salam: From Amateur to Space Researcher and Discoverer of Zayed Stars”. The lecture was delivered by Nizar Salam, the owner of the largest private fixed astronomical observatory in the UAE and the region. During the lecture, Salam highlighted his scientific and research achievements, including the discovery of several stars outside the solar system, registered with NASA under the names “Zayed Star 1”, “Zayed Star 2”, “Zayed Star 3”, and “Zayed Star 4”. He also discovered two variable exoplanets. The lecture inspired the audience with Salam’s accomplishments in the field of space sciences and underscored the importance of scientific research and astronomical discoveries in enhancing humanity’s understanding of the universe.
