Mobile robot controller using novel hybrid system

Published in: International Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering

/ Yazeed Ghadi

Hybrid neuro-fuzzy controller is one of the techniques that is used as a tool to control a mobile robot in unstructured environment. In this paper a novel neuro-fuzzy technique is proposed in order to tackle the problem of mobile robot autonomous navigation in unstructured environment. Obstacle avoidance is an important task in the field of robotics, since the goal of autonomous robot is to reach the destination without collision. The objective is to make the robot move along a collision free trajectory until it reaches its target. The proposed approach uses the artificial neural network instead of the fuzzified engine then the output from it is processed using adaptive inference engine and defuzzification engine. In this approach, the real processing time is reduced that is increase the mobile robot response. The proposed neuro-fuzzy controller is evaluated subjectively and objectively with other approaches and also the processing time is taken in consideration. A novel hybrid locomotion mechanism for small mobile robot

Published in: ICIC Express Letters, Part B: Applications

Dec 11, 2019

Robots are the inventions of the modern world that has reduced manual efforts to a greater extent. Humans usually utilize robots to do works that are dangerous, dirty, and difficult. Mobile robots are operated using remote controlled mechanism. They are agile and can move from one place to another using remote mechanism. This paper includes the information on a novel hybrid locomotion mechanism for small mobile robots. By hybrid locomotion mechanism, we mean that the wheel and track type motion are merged to increase the agility of the mobile robots. This not only makes the robot flexible, but also adds up a hybrid and interchangeable movement. The robot can move in any direction. The robot transforms from track mechanism to wheel mechanism by using a switchover module. A switchover module is a track sensor unit and is usually operated by the old school wheel and track mechanism. The wheel exerts force on the track, making the switchover module move in upward and downward direction supporting the movement of the wheel in rotatory motion. It is assumed and believed that the hybrid locomotion mechanism is able to perform in rough grounds as well. © 2019 ICIC International. All rights reserved.

Stock market investment fantasy project

Published in: TEM Journal

Sep 01, 2019

In this paper, we argue that the stock market can be conceived, somehow, as a fantasy league project if it is played well. Envisioning the stock market within the fantasy sports framework, can stimulate the stock market investment and improve the chances for success. The player or investors can view the stock market as a checking list of the stock and their performance before do one' shopping. While the project was a software engineering item, the backend project has a front office website by which investors can see the stock and make a decision. This project will use the Nested IF-THEN-ELSE-END IF statements to check prices of specific stock at particular time, in order to make decision on buying, holding, or selling, according to its actual performance. A wide range of stock prices prediction approaches are used in addition to the event driven actions.

Optimization of the application software in biomechanics and their contribution to the biological field

Published in: Journal of Engineering Science and Technology Review

Jun 01, 2019

Biomechanics refers to study of movement within dynamic biological systems. Advancement of computer software technologies such as JAVA language leads to combine stimuli and signals by biological systems and utilize them for research purposes. The main aim of this research is to analyse various biomechanical software and advancements that have been made in the field of mechanical software. Secondary research analysis has been utilized within this research paper. A Number of computational software such as OpenSim and ABAQUS have been proven to be very beneficial in this aspect. Advancement in biomechanical software has led to better research in cancer and cytoskeletal studies. Thus, Biomechanical software enables us to study kinetics of body without invasive procedures and does not cause any hindrance to ethical issues
